Hello,
Sunday – I gave my Gospel Doctrine Lesson today – Lesson 15 “Seek Ye Earnestly the Best Gifts.” It was a wonderful lesson that I prepared a way for them to see if they would work on them now or later and then at the end of the lesson a self examination of where they are. I gave out mullet golf balls for all that did not read the lesson and I gave out better quality balls for those who read the lesson. Since it was Fast Sunday I did not give any chocolate kisses. We had dinner, a nap, and then off to Chula Vista to see the Moffetts. Catherine finally made the call on our way.
Monday – Anne had Caddy for the Hole. We had a Family Home Evening but went up to the Elders’ Quorum dinner and swim party.
Tuesday – I went to work and practiced and prepared the Gospel Doctrine lesson. Anne went to Scouts and then to Church to copy my Gospel Doctrine lesson. We went to an Al-Anon meeting at the Betty Ford Center in Palm Desert.
Wednesday – We cleaned up and moved a number of things to the storage shed. It was a long day and then shopping.
Thursday – Anne had Caddy for the Hole and I had a lesson with Gary Matthews. I practiced and played some on the course.
Friday – Anne had Caddy for the Hole and I practiced. We had the missionaries for dinner.
Saturday – My birthday. We went to the Employment Seminar at the Stake Center until 1 p.m. and then to the Temple. I went through for someone at the temple’s family history – Ernest Thomas Speechley, born 1917 in Carlton, Victoria, Australian. It was Fast Sunday so we just fasted and relaxed and some bill paying. I went to bed late getting all the paperwork completed. All called except Catherine & Jon.
That was our busy week.
Love,
Mom & Dad
